Kieran Tierney’s future at Celtic is likely to be a largely discussed topic this summer.

Former Celtic left-back Stephen Crainey has told Scott Alcroft at The Celtic Star that he is desperate to see Hoops sensation Kieran Tierney remain at Celtic for years to come.
Tierney, 20, is likely to be the target of plenty of interest from down south this summer as he continues to excel in green and white with his boyhood side on the left side of defence.
The rise of Celtic’s most-prized asset has seen him already clock up 125 Hoops appearances, as well as captaining Scotland despite his young age. He has nine senior caps with the national side.

Crainey, who like Tierney came through the Celtic ranks to make 59 senior appearances for the Hoops before moving to Premier League side Southampton in 2003, has urged Tierney to remain at Celtic Park for as long as possible.
“Kieran Tierney for me is one of the best young full backs around,” Crainey said. “He can defend, tackle, get forward to score and also create goals. Myself being a selfish fan, I hope that we can keep him for many more years to come.
“There will be big teams wanting him but as Celtic are the biggest club in the world, he can go on and become a legend of the club.
“He has a great relationship with the fans, the possibility of us getting that magical 10 in a row and hopefully we can keep him here along with our great manager. A top, top player.”

Tierney has a contract with Brendan Rodgers’ side until the summer of 2023, after signing a six-year deal with the Hoops at the start of the season.
