Bayern did to Celtic what the Bhoys have done to many Scottish sides over the past two seasons and dominated for large portions of the encounter.
And Craigan believes that many Scottish Premiership stars would have been pleased to see Celtic struggling in Europe.
Craigan’s comments sparked an angry reaction from Celtic supporters, who felt he was being unfair.
Celtic have had mixed success in the Champions League so far this season, after beating Anderlecht, but losing heavily to Bayern Munich and PSG.
And Craigan feels that Celtic’s performances against the very best Europe has to offer could have been stronger.
Celtic’s next Champions League match comes against Bayern Munich at Parkhead in a fortnight’s time.
