David Turnbull could play for Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers or Celtic, says Stephen Craigan.

The former Motherwell defender, who now works as a pundit for BT Sport, rates Turnbull highly, and believes that the 19-year-old could play in the number 10 role for Rangers and is similar to Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie.
Craigan said on BT Sport when asked if Turnbull is good enough to play for Celtic or Rangers: “I think he could play in both of their teams, yes, I really do. I genuinely look at when you are looking at the number 10 role for Rangers. He is probably somewhere around Christie.”
Promising talent
Turnbull has been superb for Motherwell this season and has been one of the best young players in the Scottish Premiership.
The Scotland Under-21 international has been quite consistent, and what is very encouraging is that he has scored a lot of goals from midfield.
The 19-year-old scored 15 goals and provided five assists in the league for Motherwell this season, according to BBC Sport.

Too early for Celtic or Rangers move?
There are no suggestions in the media that Celtic or Rangers want Turnbull, and if even the Gers or the Hoops did express interest in the youngster, it would be too early for the 19-year-old to move to either of the Old Firm clubs.
What Turnbull needs at this stage of his career to play regular first-team football and to develop himself, and he can do that at Motherwell.
