Rangers have already signed wingers Hastie and Jones on pre-contract agreements, while The Scottish Sun has claimed that talks with 29-year-old forward Stewart are at an advantaged stage.
Hastie, 20, will join Rangers on a free transfer after leaving Motherwell this summer, while 24-year-old Northern Ireland international winger Jones will move to the Gers after parting company with Kilmarnock.
Stewart will also be a free signing, as the Birmingham City have released the Scotsman following his loan spell at Aberdeen during the second half of the season.
Former Motherwell defender Craigan believes that Rangers need to sign at least four new players in the summer transfer window and has outlined the areas Gerrard needs to address.
Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton believes that Rangers need to recruit a left-back.

Craigan said on BT Sport: “A left-back, another centre-half, a playmaker/number 10 player and, if Ryan Kent goes, he will need another experienced winger.
“Okay he is bringing in Jordan Jones, Jake Hastie and potentially Greg Stewart, but I think he will need four – that’s the four for me.”
Sutton said on BT Sport: “Certainly a left-back.”
