Celtic drew 0-0 away at Hibernian on Sunday afternoon.
Hibernian midfielder Stephane Omeonga has told Hibs TV that Celtic midfielder Scott Brown ‘said some really bad things’ about him on Sunday.
Celtic travelled to Edinburgh on Sunday afternoon to take on Hibs at Easter Road, with Neil Lennon returning to face his former club as the pursuit of the Scottish Premiership title continued.
Sadly for Celtic, it was another disappointing showing, as they couldn’t break Hibs down and came away with a 0-0 draw – their second goalless stalemate in a row.
Hibs boss Paul Heckingbottom will be delighted though, as he has kept his unbeaten league run going with his new side, extending the run to nine games.
Midfielder Omeonga played an important role in the draw, playing the full 90 minutes as the Belgian continues to feature for Hibs following his January loan move from Genoa, when he was signed by now-Celtic boss Lennon.
Omeonga, 23, took on Celtic skipper Scott Brown throughout the game, showing no fear against one of the league’s top players, and picked up a booking in what was a full-blooded display.
Omeonga has now revealed that the loved battling Brown, and admitted that Brown ‘said some really bad things’ during the game to him, but he took it well.
“It was a great battle in midfield with Scott Brown, obviously everyone saw it. I’m happy I had the chance to play against that kind of team and that kind of player. We all know him [Brown] and he said some really good things about me on the pitch… I’m joking! He said some really bad things, but it was good, it was a good football game,” he added.
