Arsenal defender Stephan Lichtsteiner has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s failure to win against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

The Gunners suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of London rivals Palace at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

Christian Benteke put the Eagles in the lead in the 17th minute, and Mesut Ozil restored parity for the Gunners just two minutes into the second half.

Wilfried Zaha made it 2-1 to Palace on 61 minutes, and James McArthur added a third for Roy Hodgson’s side only eight minutes later.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reduced the deficit for Arsenal in the 77th minute, but Palace held on for the three points.

Arsenal defender Lichtsteiner has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the defeat for Unai Emery’s side, and has assured the fans that the players can finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

The defeat to Palace means that Arsenal are now fourth in the Premier League table with 66 points from 34 matches, a point behind third-placed and bitter North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home in the Premier League.
