Stephen Curry is widely seen as the greatest shooter in NBA history.

Over his career, Stephen Curry has put together quite a collection of accolades. He’s picked up four NBA championships, two MVP awards, and a Finals MVP along the way.

The Golden State Warriors star also holds the all-time record for three-pointers made with 4,058 and counting. Now heading into his 17th season with Golden State, Curry has little left to prove.

Steve Nash and Reggie Miller were childhood favourites for Steph Curry

As Curry gears up for the 2025-26 NBA season, he took some time out to play a round of golf with Bryson DeChambeau.

The video from their day out was shared on DeChambeau’s YouTube channel, where Curry was asked about the players he admired growing up. He mentioned Steve Nash and Reggie Miller.

“My favourite players growing up, everybody loved [Michael] Jordan, everybody loved AI [Allen Iverson], so they were always the inspiration to go out to the court and try to do the stuff they did. But from an actual X’s and O’s standpoint, Reggie Miller and Steve Nash,” Curry said.

“Like those two guys I loved watching. Steve Nash was so creative with the ball; he tried all of these different passes. He played at his own pace.”

“And then Reggie [Miller], he was the guy that just never stopped moving. And it was always fun to watch him.”

Steph Curry is eyeing up another ring with the Warriors this season

Curry has his sights set on a fifth NBA Championship with the Warriors this season. If he manages it, he’ll move past LeBron James in total rings and join Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant on five championships each.

The Warriors head into the year with the league’s oldest starting five and a roster full of experienced players.

But even with their age, Golden State still has enough quality to be a factor in the West and could make another run at a title.
