Rob Holding has shared on Instagram that he is ‘back on the grass’ which will please his Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

The 25-year-old suffered a hamstring injury at the start of the month and it seems as though he is now back on the field taking things ‘step by step’.

Whilst Holding won’t be available for Arteta in the Europa League tonight, it’s pleasing that he will have him back on that field very soon because he has started six games for the Gunners this season.

This is the message Holding sent to the Arsenal fans from his Instagram account last night:

During Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat to Leicester over the weekend, Shkodran Mustafi came on for the injured David Luiz just before Jamie Vardy scored and the German was criticised for the role he played in that headed goal being scored.

It’s clear that Mustafi isn’t Arteta’s first choice, but someone like Holding has been a regular and his return would boost this Arsenal backline that can only be bettered by Aston Villa in the league this term.

Whilst the defensive side of Arsenal’s game is improving and progressing, they need more oomph and bite in the attacking third because they are clearly missing that spark.

Whether the Arsenal players can now take their attacking game to the next level during these coming weeks remains to be seen because they have shown that foundations are now firmly built at the back.
