Stefon Diggs brought a bit of humour to Super Bowl LX opening night after being asked about a potential proposal to Cardi B.

The New England Patriots’ wide receiver was questioned about marriage as his team prepares for the biggest game of the season.

Diggs made it clear that his focus remains firmly on football, while not ruling out an engagement to his rap superstar girlfriend.

Stefon Diggs jokes about proposing to Cardi B after Super Bowl

Ahead of Super Bowl LX, Stefon Diggs was asked whether he would buy his girlfriend Cardi B an engagement ring if he won a Super Bowl ring.

He laughed off the idea, suggesting it was something to think about later while hinting that he needed to secure his own ring first.

“It’s on the agenda, maybe. Right? I gotta get mine first, though.”

The exchange quickly gained traction online, with fans reacting to Diggs’ light-hearted response during opening night media duties.

Diggs highlights Patriots culture under Mike Vrabel

Turning his attention to Super Bowl LX, Stefon Diggs also spoke about the mindset inside the New England Patriots locker room under head coach Mike Vrabel.

Discussing accountability within the squad, Diggs said the team holds each other to a standard. He continued by praising the head coach’s influence.

“You start looking at your teammates, I’m saying self-policing, self-accountability, and you don’t want to let your teammates down.”

“So the camaraderie and the team chemistry that Mike Vrabel has built from the head coaching position is second to none, and hopefully he wins Coach of the Year because he’s probably the best coach I’ve ever had.”

For Diggs, Super Bowl LX can be the culmination of his long career, but he will have to put on the performance of a lifetime.
