The incoming Nottingham Forest goalie was wanted by Manchester United as well.
Goalkeeper Stefanos Kapino of Olympiacos
Nottingham Forest are reportedly all set to sign Greek goalkeeper Stefanos Kapino on a free transfer, according to reports in his homeland. Sport.fm are suggesting that Forest have agreed terms with the player, who is already in the UK ahead of a medical.
The 23-year-old, who was released by Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis’ other club Olympiakos on transfer deadline day, is a strange signing considering the recent acquisition of Costel Pantilimon. But it is hoped he will bring some depth to the keeper role and some real quality as well.
Goalkeeper, Stefanos Kapino of Greece
There once was a time when Kapino was one of the most wanted young goalkeepers in the world.
He made his debut for Panathinaikos aged just 17 years and six months and was playing for the senior Greece national team a few months later, still just 17. It made him Greece’s youngest ever player and saw him linked with a host of top clubs around the globe.
In 2012 Arsene Wenger was reportedly keen on signing the player for Arsenal, according to the Daily Mail. It was reported that same month, by the Daily Mail again, that both Arsenal and Manchester United had in fact missed out to Inter Milan in a £2 million deal for the player.

Kapino was highly rated but his stock has fallen and after underwhelming spells with German side Mainz and Olympiakos he has now found his way to the City Ground.
But if he can find the form that once had Arsenal, United and Inter Milan squabbling over his services than Forest fans are in for a treat.
