Stefanos Kapino left Nottingham Forest last week.

Goalkeeper Stefanos Kapino of Olympiacos celebrates after the UEFA Champions League Qualifying match between FC Partizan and Olympiacos on July 25, 2017 in Belgrade, Serbia.

Stefanos Kapino has suffered a nightmare start at Werder Bremen.

The Greek international goalkeeper left Nottingham Forest last week to sign with the German club.

Kapino suffered an injury in a training session and now faces a spell on the sidelines.

German magazine Kicker report Kapino is expected to be out for three months.

Bremen are weighing up whether they need to sign a new back-up goalkeeper to provide cover or go with a teenager from their academy.

Kapino sent a message on Instagram trying to stay upbeat.

This tops a tough 2018 for Kapino who was released by Olympiakos earlier this year.

He signed with Forest but could not win the number one spot from Costel Pantilimon, a Watford loanee who went on to sign permanently.

Patience was always going to be key for him at Werder Bremen as he bids to get his career back on track.

This latest injury is another challenge for him to overcome.
