Stefano Okaka’s agent spoke to Tutto Mercato Web about his client’s future and Watford fans could finally say goodbye to the Italian after signing him three years ago.

Okaka returned to Watford after a decent loan spell at Serie A side Udinese in the second half of last season where he scored six times in 16 appearances. His brother Carlo, who is also his agent, has revealed that his client’s association with Watford is over and that he has a lot of offers put in front of him from foreign clubs.

He told Tutto Mercato Web: “We have offers from Italy and abroad. The marriage with Watford has come to an end, the market will start now with this last week.”

Udinese are also keen on Okaka after his performances last season and when asked about their interest, Carlo shed some light on the situation.

“It’s true, but there are so many players. He did well, scoring six goals and four assists in five months, without preparing. We will choose the ideal square for the rest of the career.”

Since joining Watford from Anderlecht back in 2016, Okaka has played 39 times for the Hornets in all competitions, scoring just five times in that period. Letting him leave on loan in January showed that the Italian wasn’t in Javi Gracia’s plans anymore and rightly so considering his poor goal return.

Danny Welbeck’s addition in the summer combined with Watford’s existing firepower of Troy Deeney, Andre Gray and Gerard Deulofeu means Okaka had almost no chance of getting into the first team and a move away was on the cards even before the window started.

When asked about his client’s priority destination, Carlo said: “Italy, mainly, even if at the moment they are calling us a lot from abroad.”
