Heerenveen coach Michel Jansen has warned Joey Veerman it’s too early for him to move to the Premier League and told Radio Camataru the midfielder should snub Southampton.
While potential deals for Weston McKennie, Dejan Ljubicic and Ibrahim Sangare have gone by the wayside there are still four days left before the transfer window shuts.

21-year-old Veerman looks to be the most likely addition as it stands, however, with The Sun (30 September, page 51) reporting the Eredivisie’s rising star is keen on securing a life-changing move to England.
But, having made just 23 starts in the Dutch top flight, Heerenveen’s assistant coach is worried this could be a classic case of ‘too much, too soon’.
“I think Joey still has to improve in the Eredivisie,” Jansen said via Voetbal Primeur.
“In my opinion, he should stay another year and then he will still leave for a lot of money. And then you have two winners (Heerenveen and Veerman).”
AD reports the Frisians want at least £11 million for their highly rated midfielder, having already sold another star man in the shape of tricky winger Chideru Ejuke to CSKA Moscow.
