Manchester United striker put in a dismal display against West Brom, substituted off just past the hour mark.
Robin van Persie looked far from happy when substituted against West Brom at the weekend, but from his performance he could have few complaints.
As well as being booked, and perhaps fortunate to escape further sanction for another offence, from a footballing perspective he offered his side little.
While top scorer at the club he has contributed much over the course of the season, against West Brom it was his worst display of the campaign.
It was the only Premier League game this season in which he has played more than 50 minutes that Van Persie has failed to register a single shot on goal, or win a single aerial duel.

Van Persie’s poor display comes in context of worrying speculation regarding his future. He has been linked with a move to former club Arsenal already this year, as well as most recently Monaco.
He criticised the club’s tactics after their loss to Olympiakos and his body language at being hauled off tells it’s own story.
The Red Devils need him to step up over the coming weeks – and that means no more repeats of the weekend.
