Burnley defender Michael Keane has been widely underrated following a positive start to the season with the Clarets.
Nobody could have predicted Burnley’s top half position as we enter the November international break. They have taken everyone’s expectations of them and turned them on their head, with one of the key reasons behind that being the form of Michael Keane.
The 23-year-old ex-Manchester United player has really shone under Sean Dyche, leading all defenders in the league in a number of different categories. Keane currently has the most clearances in the top flight with 107 and the most headed clearances with 78, showing he has no fear when it comes to getting stuck in.

In addition to that the Englishman is joint top when it comes to blocks with 21, proving himself to be one of the most underrated stars of the season so far. Keane has always been hotly tipped to succeed at the highest level, however things did not really work out for him at Old Trafford.
Several loans out to sides like Leicester and Blackburn left him floundering, but since arriving at Turf Moor in 2015 he seems to have found a place he can call home. Who knows, maybe Keane can eventually earn himself a place in the England set-up.
