The Liverpool star has been in fine form at the beginning of this campaign.

A look at the stats so far this season shows that Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is deserving of more praise than he is receiving.
The midfielder has enjoyed a strong start to the campaign, playing a key role as the Reds have played their way into the top four.
He has also impressed for England and recently put in an impressive performance in the 2-0 win over Malta.

Despite that there are still those who have doubts about Hen derson and specifically whether he is good enough to play a role in this Liverpool team, let alone captain it.
A look at his stats in the Reds’ first seven games of this season, though, show any doubts that may linger around him are unfounded, to say the least.
So far Henderson has registered the most touches of any Liverpool player, his tally of 711 seeing him far ahead of James Milner on 566.
He has made more passes than any of his teammates, while he has also made the most accurate passes also. Indeed, he has the highest tally of any Premier League player in both regards.
It has not been a case of him playing sideways passes either as he has also posted the most forward passes of any Reds star.

Defensively Henderson has been impressive, as he once again impresses in the stats with the most tackles and most won tackles of any Liverpool player.
In fact, out of all the players in the Premier League, he comes third on the list behind Idrissa Gueye and Danny Drinkwater for the latter.
Those are all impressive stats by any measure and perhaps it is time Henderson started to receive the praise that his performances deserve.
