The Leeds United defender’s big mistake cost his side a point at Rotherham United.
Leeds United suffered back-to-back Yorkshire derby defeats on Saturday following a 2-1 reverse at Rotherham United.
It was not a happy return to the New York Stadium for Steve Evans, whose side were beaten by a last-minute penalty from Greg Halford as the Whites failed to bounce back from the demoralising 4-1 home defeat by Huddersfield Town prior to the international break.
They had looked on course to win a point, before goalkeeper Marco Silvestri was sent off in the closing stages of normal time for a foul on Lee Frecklington, whose first-half opener was later cancelled out by Luke Murphy with 11 minutes to go.
The villain of the piece from a Leeds perspective was undoubtedly defender Giuseppe Bellusci, whose botched overhead kick inside his own box led to Frecklington winning the fatal penalty.

It was a fitting end to match a relatively unconvincing overall display from the Italian right-back, whose consistency problems surfaced once more.
His passing at Rotherham was slightly erratic, only clocking an accuracy of 69%, while he also conceded possession no fewer than 21 times – more than any other Leeds player.
He did recover possession on seven occasions, to his credit, and indeed managed a respectable 82 touches, but he did not attack enough, failing to attempt a single cross.
By full time, Twitter was rife with less-than-flattering remarks for the defender following his mistake.
