Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to Juan Foyth’s performance during Villarreal’s UEFA Super Cup defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday.

The Europa League champions clashed horns with the Champions League winners in Belfast, with a number of ex-Tottenham players lining up in the team.

Étienne Capoue was one of those players in the XI, including the man they sold to the Spanish club this summer in Foyth.

Thomas Tuchel’s side took the lead in Northern Ireland through a close-range finish from Hakim Ziyech, before a second-half goal from Gerard Moreno forced the game to extra time and then penalties.
