Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has admitted on the Leeds United podcast that he has started to panic with Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane hitting 19 goals.
Bamford has spoken of his desire to finish as the Premier League’s top scorer, but Kane currently leads the way.
The Tottenham striker scored a brace at the weekend, as Spurs drew 2-2 with Newcastle United.
And Bamford admits that when he saw Kane’s tally had improved further, he was frustrated.
He said: “It sounds daft, I wouldn’t have thought it at the start of the season, but to see Harry Kane reach 19 goals, I’m like starting to panic.
“Thinking it’s like five goals more now, I’m going to have to start pulling my finger out a bit!”

Bamford is now five goals behind the Tottenham striker in the Premier League goalscoring charts.
That gap may now be unassailable, given there are only limited fixtures left.
But Bamford can still reflect on a positive season, even if he doesn’t quite catch Kane.
The Tottenham man has had one of the finest campaigns of his career, and for Bamford to remain in touching distance for so long is an achievement in itself.
