Liverpool fans were critical of Thomas Tuchel’s comments after Chelsea’s 1-1 draw at Brighton on Tuesday.

Chelsea had the chance to overtake Jurgen Klopp’s side in second place, but a second-half goal from Adam Webster put a stop to that.

After the game, Tuchel claimed that his players are ‘mentally and physically tired’, as he told BT Sport.

Whilst he also seemed to jab at the Brighton fans by claiming that they celebrated the game ‘like it was a victory’.

Liverpool fans didn’t take too kindly to Tuchel’s comments and made it clear what the reaction would have been like if it was Jurgen Klopp making such claims.

Plus, it needs to be remembered, Brighton’s budget and spending is nowhere near what Chelsea have been throwing at the Premier League over the years.

Plus, when Brighton have a free transfer in Danny Welbeck starting upfront, whilst Chelsea have a £100 million striker in Romelu Lukaku.

Then, it’s pretty uncalled for from Tuchel to aim such comments at the Brighton supporters.

Even before Chelsea’s visit to the Amex Stadium, it was obvious that the Premier League title race is over.

Of course, both Chelsea and Liverpool won’t give up the fight, but Manchester City aren’t going to lose their 11-point lead on second-placed from here.

The Reds have a game in hand, and added with their clash against Man City, they can close that gap to five points.

But even then, this relentless billion pound Manchester City machine has for far too long proven that they won’t and can’t be stopped.

As a result of all of that, it will be interesting to see how Chelsea and Liverpool view the Champions League because they might as well throw all of their eggs into that basket now.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of Liverpool fans reacting to what they are hearing from Tuchel:
