Speaking on The Last Word on Spurs YouTube channel, The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare has been discussing Tottenham’s potential move for Richarlison and how confident he is about a deal happening.

The attacker is reportedly on the verge of joining Tottenham, but as all Spurs fans know, no transfer is finalised until a contract is signed and a deal is announced.

However, there is a growing confidence that Richarlison will end up at Spurs, while Eccleshare himself seems pretty certain that the winger will end up in north London.

In fact, the journalist is so certain that Richarlison is coming that he’s already begun to write the article about his arrival at Spurs.

What’s been said?

Eccleshare spoke about Richarlison’s move to Tottenham.

“Yeah, so nothing is done yet, but it’s moving in the right direction and there is increasing confidence that they will get this done. I’m confident myself, so confident that I’ve done the thing I’m very wary of doing and I’ve started to write the article about Richarlison in the anticipation of him signing. I’ve been burnt with that before, so I don’t do that lightly, so I think that’s going to happen, I think it’ll be a great signing,” Eccleshare said.

Matter of time

It really does seem as though it’s just a matter of time before the Brazilian joins Spurs.

A medical has been pencilled in, a fee has been agreed provisionally and personal terms shouldn’t be an issue.

Eccleshare says that he’s always very wary of writing articles on new signings in advance, but he’s seemingly very sure that Richarlison will be joining Antonio Conte’s side in the coming days.

This transfer looks to be all-but done.
