Speaking to Sportsbladet (Via Di Marzio), Dejan Kulusevski has been discussing his first year at Tottenham Hotspur after he won the Swedish Golden Ball.
The Spurs winger made a massive mark in north London after arriving at in January, and it’s fair to say that he’s playing his best football under Antonio Conte.
However, things weren’t always going to plan for Kulusevski. The back end of his time at Juventus was nothing short of a nightmare, and the player himself has now admitted that he lost all of his confidence at Juve before joining Spurs.

Kulusevski lost his confidence
The winger discussed his final months in Italy.
“My time at Juventus was very, very hard. I came out of it stronger. In the second season I started to doubt myself, thinking I wasn’t as good as I thought. That’s the thing worst that can happen to a footballer . So I started to doubt all the decisions made on the pitch. Now I’m in a fantastic place, on and off the pitch. There will also be bad moments. Now things are going well in the national team, things they are good in the club,” Kulusevski said.

The winger was seemingly mentally shot towards the back end of his time in Italy, but you never would’ve thought that at Spurs.
Indeed, the player hit the ground running in north London after his arrival, and it’s fair to say that he’s gotten over the confidence issues he had at Juventus.
When you’re struggling it’s so easy to shrink into yourself and allow your game to be affected, but Kulusevski grabbed his Tottenham opportunity with both hands and made himself an immediate star.
