Malachi Fagan-Walcott has lauded Noni Madueke as a ‘starboy’ on Instagram after the ex-Tottenham man shined for England U21’s during their 4-1 win over Andorra during their Euro qualifier.
The 20-year-old, who is now at PSV after leaving Tottenham’s academy as a teenager, was a livewire on the flanks for his country.
When Madueke posted on IG about his display on Friday night, he was praised by a number of his counterparts.
Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott labelled the winger as ‘breezy’, whilst Celtic forward, Karaoke Dembele stated that he is a ‘joy to watch’.
It was a bald call for Madueke to leave the comfort of being in Tottenham’s academy and heading over to Holland at such a young age.
But it has worked out a treat for the English flyer because he recently penned down a new contract at the club and he is also playing in Europe.
Not only that, but Madueke is also thriving in England colours at the younger age groups.
The attacking talent Gareth Southgate has to pick from is quite incredible.
With England captain, Harry Kane, leading the line, come the 2022 World Cup in November, there will be a fair few disappointed faces.
Like always, the players that aren’t picked are always talked about more rather than those who are selected.
That was no different during the lastest Three Lions squad selection and the debate will be even more ferocious when the World Cup comes around later on this year.
