Depending on who you believe, Arsenal could genuinely sign Dusan Vlahovic.

Leaving Erling Haaland aside, the Fiorentina sensation just might be Europe’s hottest young striker right now.

With 20 goals in 24 outings, Vlahovic is making a name for himself on the continent in a major way and Arsenal are reportedly leading the chase for his signature.

The 21-year-old, who’s out of contract this summer, has been the subject of an accepted £58 million offer by the Gunners, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

And the North Londoners better hope they get this over the line because the last striker that they could’ve signed is also ripping it up in Italy at the moment.

Missed a trick

Last summer’s Vlahovic was Tammy Abraham – then at Chelsea – in terms of speculation regarding Arsenal.

It was even reported that Abraham – a boyhood Gooner – wanted to join the Emirates Stadium outfit, but he wound up going to Roma in a £34 million transfer instead.

Problem is, the English hitman now has 12 goals in his last 12 outings for Jose Mourinho’s side following a brace last night.

And with Arsenal badly needing a goalscorer, evident by the fact they’re now four games without finding the net across all competitions, it doesn’t reflect too great on Mikel Arteta and Edu that they didn’t fancy Abraham enough.

Even if they do sign Vlahovic, the Serbian will cost over £20 million more than Abraham would’ve set the Emirates Stadium club back last summer.

Hindsight is a great thing and all but, given the evidence since, Arsenal really, really should’ve pursued Abraham.
