Well, Arsenal may well regret failing to sign Dani Olmo.
The Spain international has enjoyed a wonderful start to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
On Wednesday, the 24-year-old attacker, linked to Arsenal in 2020, opened the scoring as his country hammered Costa Rica 7-0 in what was a blistering start to the competition for Luis Enrique’s outfit.
The Red Bull Leipzig player also helped round off the scoring by setting up the seventh goal of the evening, with WhoScored giving him a rating of 8.7 – the highest of anyone last night.

Prior to his £17 million move to Germany in January of 2020 [Goal], Olmo was the Gunners’ shortlist of players to replace Mesut Ozil [The Mirror].
And at 24, he is clearly only going to get a lot better over the coming years.
Arsenal won’t be too upset at this moment in time because, well, Martin Odegaard is looking like a wonderful number 10 for Mikel Arteta, whose side sit top of the Premier League standings.
But the North Londoners were clearly on to something in wanting Olmo to begin with and it’ll be fascinating to see how he performs for the remainder of the tournament.
Spain are back in action again on Sunday with a difficult clash against Germany – who lost to Japan yesterday – before rounding off Group E with an encounter versus the Asian outfit on December 1.
