Matias Soule expects to stay at Frosinone ‘until the end of the season’ amid reports linking the Juventus loanee with a big-money move to Premier League duo Newcastle United and Crystal Palace.
Crystal Palace are big fans of the twinkle-toed Argentine.
So much so that, if reports are to be believed, The Eagles were willing to invest a club-record fee in bringing Matias Soule to Selhurst Park. Palace, Corriere dello Sport said back in December, had presented an offer in the region of £30 million via intermediaries, with Soule potentially on his way to South London for a few million more than Roy Hodgson’s side paid to sign Christian Benteke from Liverpool back in 2016.

Crystal Palace and Newcastle like Matias Soule
Newcastle United are interested too.
The Magpies allegedly held discussions with Juve director Cristiano Guintoli a month ago. But with Soule on loan at Frosinone until the Serie A campaign comes to an end in June, the 20-year-old winger appears to be putting a permanent move on the backburner.
“I think so, I will stay until the end of the season,” Soule tells DAZN.
Juventus chief Giovanni Manna said similar when asked about the former Velez Sarsfield starlet. Ditto Guido Angelozzi, the man who brough Soule to Frosinone last summer.
“Soule (is a player) many wanted, and he is still heavily followed. But Juve have told us, at least until today, that they are very happy with the path that he is taking,” Angelozzi tells Tuttomercatoweb.
“So, I am convinced that (Soule) will stay until June.”
Palace’s next Michael Olise?
Soule took his tally to seven goals in 16 Serie A starts against Lazio in Frosinone’s final outing of 2023. A right-footed left winger who loves to cut in like his idol Lionel Messi, Soule may have been identified by Crystal Palace as a potential replacement for Michael Olise with the Premier League’s big-hitters expected to come knocking again in the near future.
