Paris Saint Germain are desperate to get rid of Neymar and the Brazilian has been transferred into the ‘unwanted squad’ this summer alongside Kylian Mbappe.

According to French journalist Julien Laurens, via Sky Sports, PSG are eager to get rid of the former Barcelona forward and clubs from Saudi Arabia are interested but Chelsea have reportedly been interested in the 31-year-old for a while.

Laurens claims that the English side have held meetings with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, PSG’s president, about potentially signing Neymar although nothing has come of it as of yet.

So, according to Laurens, that leaves teams in Saudi Arabia. Neymar originally was not interested in making a move to the Middle East and wanted to stay in Europe but, according to the French journalist, the Brazilian is now slightly more open to the move than he originally was.

Would Neymar make the move?

PSG’s squad is a bit of a mess right now, Neymar, Mbappe and Marco Verratti are now in the ‘unwanted squad’ and the point Laurens makes is that will the three sit in the stands for the season? it seems incredibly unlikely.

The only option may well be a Saudi side, the Brazilian’s entourage were reportedly asked to have a meeting with representatives from Al-Hilal, so a move to Jorge Jesus’ side may well be the most viable option available to the winger.

If he were to make the move to the Saudi side, it’s not inconceivable to say that the Brazilian will be one of the best players in the league, maybe even the best alongside Karim Benzema.

Luis Enrique, the new manager of the French giants, seemingly doesn’t view Neymar in his plans and the front three of Neymar, Mbappe and Lionel Messi could all be moving on from the Parisian side and the Saudi side are willing to make an offer for both seemingly.
