Queens Park Rangers have lost eight of their last nine games.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Massimo Luongo has commented on the R’s recent bad results, and believes injuries to key players have played a major role.
Rangers lost 3-0 to neighbours Brentford on the weekend, making in eight league defeats this year but Luongo remains confident an upturn in fortunes is imminent.
“It was difficult because we weren’t doing very well when I wasn’t here, and to come back in and try to pick it up…we’ve had a lot of injuries, they boys are coming back so hopefully they can pick us up a little bit,” Luongo told football.london.
The Australian missed four games over the new year period while representing his country at the Asia Cup, but the likes of Geoff Cameron and Angel Rangel have been out since early December.

The veteran duo have been brilliant for QPR this term, but the problem is rooted further than that as Rangers have really struggled to see out games in particular.
It is clear that collectively, the team are not pulling their weight and the likes of Luongo need to stand up and be counted.
He does have a point about the injuries but the poor run of form cannot be excused any more.

From manager Steve McClaren and Luongo’s perspective, QPR will need to find a remedy pretty quickly and three points against Stoke City this weekend must be the sole aim.
Another defeat and the pressure will begin to mount on Luongo and his teammates, so those on the field against the Potters will need to put in the kind of performance the fans and manager come to deserve and expect.
