The Leeds United-linked midfielder Jose Campana says he ‘would have to think about’ a move to a different European club.
According to Super Deporte, Leeds had a £13.7 million offer rejected by Campana’s club, Levante, after the deal for Michael Cuisance collapsed.
And Marca claims the former Crystal Palace midfielder is now being pursued by Atletico Madrid.
Though the transfer window closed for Spanish clubs on Monday, Atletico have special dispensation to replace Thomas Partey, after Arsenal triggered the midfielder’s buyout clause late on deadline day.
And speaking to Radio Marca about the rumour, Campana said: “It is clear that if a team like that (Atletico) calls you, you have to think about it. I have found my place in Levante and I am very comfortable, but you always want to grow. I think we all like these teams to look at us. I am no less.”
Leeds still have a week to find an alternative to Cuisance, though they can only recruit from EFL clubs – ruling out Campana.
According to Marca, Levante would not accept anything less than £27.3m for the newly-capped Spain star, whose own buyout clause is double that.

Campana made his international debut in Spain’s 0-0 draw with Portugal on Wednesday, a fixture in which the new Leeds recruits Diego Llorente and Rodrigo Moreno both started.
