Evan Ndicka could now perform a dramatic U-turn on his Eintracht Frankfurt future with the Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur linked centre-back considering a new contract at the Bundesliga outfit.

With Oliver Glasner on his way out of the Commerzbank Arena at the end of the current campaign, the expectation was that player would follow coach. Evan Ndicka, a key cog in Glasner’s 2022 Europa League-winning Eintracht Frankfurt machine, is out of contract in July.

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are among his many admirers; The Mirror claiming that Jurgen Klopp’s side have been watching the elegant Frenchman since he was a teenager making his name back home at Auxerre.

But, after being offered a new three-year deal worth around £40,000-a-week, Frankfurt’s sporting director Markus Krosche has indicated that Ndicka may be about to make a decision few saw coming (BILD).

Especially when Die Adler splashed out £14 million on a likely replacement in William Pacho.

Ndicka may now rule out Tottenham or Liverpool move

“Evan can basically imagine staying with us longer,” Krosche tells Sky Germany. “Evan knows what he has in us. He feels comfortable with us and has developed well in Frankfurt.”

In truth, reports linking Ndicka with a move to Tottenham have gone a little cold recently. Especially with Spurs looking likely to retain the services of Barcelona loanee – and fellow defensive southpaw – Clement Lenglet.

The departures of Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici may have raised doubts regarding Lenglet’s future. But it is understood that Spurs are still looking to press ahead with a deal worth around £10 million.

“Clement is a really good player,” Conte told The Standard in December of Lenglet, who has been a rare bright spot in an otherwise disastrous Spurs season.

“Don’t forget that we are talking someone who played five years in Barcelona. When you play for many years in this type of club, it means that you are a good player.

“And when I spoke with him in the summer, I was very clear with him; ‘if you decide to play you have to come with us, you will play’. A really good player good personality, technically and good choices in the game.

“I can tell you that he was a big surprise for me in a positive way; His attitude, commitment, behaviour.

“He’s always 120 per cent during the training sessions.”
