Ian Wright and Jermaine Jenas told Match of the Day that Liverpool defender Rhys Williams ‘has to stay on his feet’.
The BBC pundits felt that the Liverpool youngster was being too rash during his side’s FA Cup defeat at Old Trafford over the weekend.
It was another game to forget for Liverpool as their supporters entered unfamiliar territory under Jurgen Klopp.
But when analysing Williams’ game, both Wright and Jenas agreed that the teenager needs to ‘stand up’ because he was sliding into tackles a bit too much on Sunday.
“Rhys Williams, he has to spend more time on his feet,” said Jenas. “He has slid into a couple of challenges when he just needs to be patient and stand up.
Wright added: “Like JJ said that he has to stay on his feet a little bit more, Williams.
“He’s making it easier. Obviously, Rashford is a problem but you have to make it a bit more difficult for him.”

From Williams’ perspective, to be thrust into the first-team limelight when Virgil van Dijk is out injured is a very difficult task to overcome.
If the towering centre-back had the Dutchman next to him then maybe it would have been a different story at Old Trafford.
But he has to learn the hard way and it would be a surprise if he is playing at the back when Liverpool visit Tottenham on Thursday.
