Stan Collymore has weighed in on a Twitter debate over which is the bigger club: Aston Villa or Leeds United.
A Villa fan and former Villans’ player, Collymore inadvertently sparked the discussion himself, tweeting after his old side’s 2-1 defeat against Millwall on Saturday:
The pundit’s post prompted this response from a Leeds United supporter, before a lengthy debate ensued:
But Collymore chimed in again after another wrote:

Both founder members of the English Premier League, the pair currently find themselves competing at second tier level, with this Aston Villa’s third successive season outside of the top division and Leeds’ 15th.
The Yorkshire club spent three of those in League One, but have made a strong start to the new campaign and find themselves a point outside the automatic promotion spots in third.

In contrast, Villa sit 15th in the standings and are without a manager after sacking Steve Bruce last week.
