Tottenham Hotspur are still yet to make a new signing this summer.
Renowned football pundit Stan Collymore took to Twitter last night, and predicted the outcome of the Premier League table this season, suggesting that Tottenham will finish fourth, if they make new signings fast.
Spurs have come on leaps and bounds since Mauricio Pochettino took over at White Hart Lane way back in the summer of 2014, but the pressure is now building on the Argentine and his players, considering the fact that they have not won a major trophy since their League Cup triumph in 2008.
Before the opening of the transfer window this summer, many fans and pundits alike were tipping Tottenham to mount a sustained challenge for the Premier League title if they made a few sound additions to their squad, but fast forward to the current day, and the Lilywhites are still yet to make a signing.
If Pochettino fails to add any new faces to his squad before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday, Spurs will surely find it difficult to compete with the big boys this season.
That is a sentiment that was echoed by Collymore when he took to Twitter last night:
With just three days remaining until the transfer window slams shut, Pochettino had better get down to business sooner rather than later, if he wants to adequately strengthen his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
And if he fails to do so, Tottenham could be in for an extremely challenging campaign.
