Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has given his take on Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford trying a Cruyff turn for England against Spain on Monday evening on social networking site Twitter.
Pickford was in goal for England during their UEFA Nations League Group A4 match against Spain in Seville.
The 24-year-old former Sunderland goalkeeper – who earns £60,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – largely played well in the match, which the Three Lions won 3-2.
However, on one occasion with England 3-1, Pickford tried an audacious Cruyff turn inside the Three Lions’ penalty box and almost gave away a penalty.
Former Liverpool and England international striker Collymore has given his take on Pickford’s attempt on Twitter.
Raheem Sterling was the star of the show for England, as the Manchester City attacker scored twice for Gareth Southgate’s side.
The Three Lions were by far the better side in the first half, but Spain did make a game out of them by giving England a run for their money after the break and will probably feel that they should have earned a draw.
