Pundit Stan Collymore has taken to Twitter to suggest that Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko could become ‘a monster’ under Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham.
Earlier today, Sky Sports reported that Spurs were in talks with Newcastle over a potential deal to sign midfielder Sissoko, but there was a disagreement over his valuation as Daniel Levy and Mike Ashley attempted to thrash out a deal.

With just hours of the transfer window left to go, a move to White Hart Lane appears to be unlikely, despite BBC Sport suggesting that there is still hope for Spurs – but one pundit suggests that Sissoko would be a great signing for Tottenham.
The French international starred during his country’s Euro 2016 campaign, but struggled last season as Newcastle suffered relegation to the Championship, as he notched just one goal and seven assists in the Premier League last term.

His performances over the summer have again triggered interest though, and Sissoko may be seen as a player who can offer similar attributes to Tottenham ace Moussa Dembele.
Spurs have missed Dembele’s power and drive in midfield during his suspension so far this season, and Sissoko would certainly offer that – and manager Pochettino would be hoping that he can get some consistency into Sissoko’s game just as he did with Dembele, should Sissoko sign.

Ahead of the transfer deadline, pundit Stan Collymore has taken to Twitter to discuss the rumours – and he appears to be keen on the idea of his move to White Hart Lane.
Collymore suggested that Pochettino could turn Sissoko into a ‘monster’ if he can improve his consistency and mentality, but did admit that it’s late in the day for Sissoko to develop himself.
