Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has suggested in The Mirror that Tottenham Hotspur should sign Moussa Dembele from Celtic in the summer transfer window.

Collymore believes that the French striker would be a good signing for Tottenham, and that the 20-year-old could be tempted to swap the Bhoys for Spurs.

“I know I’m not going to be popular with Celtic fans but I’d go and throw money at the Scottish giants and prise Moussa Dembele from Brendan Rodgers’ clutches,” Collymore wrote in The Mirror.

“He’s young, has pace, and clearly knows where the net is. If I was 20, like the French youngster, I’d jump at the chance of joining the young talent at Spurs.”

Dembele is one of the best young strikers in entire Europe and has been a superb player for Celtic this season.

The 20-year-old is a goal machine, having found the net as many as 32 times in 49 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops so far this campaign.

The France Under-21 international seems to be happy at Celtic where he has established himself in the starting lineup.

While Dembele would be a great signing for Spurs, the North London outfit would have to convince the youngster that he would get chances, as it is hard to see anyone displacing Harry Kane from the striker’s position in the starting lineup.
