Tottenham Hotspur’s Kyle Walker, Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Manchester United’s Luke Shaw should be on Chelsea’s radar, according to Stan Collymore.

Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has suggested in The Mirror that Chelsea should sign Kyle Walker and Luke Shaw from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United respectively in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham defender Walker is one of the best right-backs in the Premier League, while United’s Shaw is one of the best young left-backs in the English top flight.

Collymore has also stated that Chelsea should make a move for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku should Diego Costa leave in the summer.

Tottenham's Kyle Walker in action

“Antonio Conte has based his title charge this season on the spine of his team,” Collymore wrote in The Mirror. “That may change if Diego Costa gets his wish to cash in on a move to China and the obvious response for Conte would be to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton.

“But Conte’s top addition could be Kyle Walker, who is on the market after a fall-out with the decision-makers at Spurs. Rumour has it that he fancies a move back up north but if I was in charge at Stamford Bridge I’d be moving heaven and earth to sign him.”

“And as well as Marcos Alonso has done, I’d sign Luke Shaw from Manchester United for the left-wing-back slot,” added Collymore.

Good suggestions

Collymore’s suggestions are all very good, and if Chelsea are able to sign Walker, Shaw and Lukaku, then they will become a much better team.

The problem is that the Blues may not be able to sign them all. Recruiting Lukaku could be possible, but would United manager Jose Mourinho sell 21-year-old England international Shaw to his former club?

As for Walker, Manchester City are interested in the 26-year-old, according to The London Evening Standard. It would be tough for the Blues to compete with the Citizens for the right-back.
