Stan Collymore suggests that Arsenal should look at Eddie Howe, not Jose Mourinho, as a potential replacement for Unai Emery.

AFC Bournemouth manager

Stan Collymore has suggested on Twitter that Arsenal should appoint Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe and not Jose Mourinho as their new manager if they decide to relieve Unai Emery of his duties.

The former Liverpool striker believes that ex-Chelsea and Manchester United manager Mourinho would be an “awful appointment” for the Gunners.

Collymore has suggested why Howe, who has been superb for Bournemouth in the Premier League, would be a good managerial appointment for the North London outfit.

Sticking with Unai Emery

Emery is a very good manager, but Arsenal are not having the best of times under him.

True, the Gunners are still very much in the running for a top-four place in the Premier League table and also reached the final of the Europa League last season, but the North London outfit should be doing more and much better.

Arsenal have a very good and strong attacking lineup, but defensively the Gunners are still struggling and need to do much better and have to get tighter at the back.
