Stan Collymore has backed Danny Rose on Twitter following the release of the video of his meeting with Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho last season.
The former Liverpool striker has praised the Tottenham left-back for going into Mourinho’s office and asking why he was not playing.
Collymore has also slammed Mourinho for not being able to give a proper explanation for why he was not playing the 30-year-old England international left-back.
As shown in episode 5 of ‘All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur’ on Amazon Prime, Rose had a meeting with Tottenham head coach Mourinho after the goalless draw with Watford on January 18.
The England international left-back was not happy that he was left out of the squad and wanted to know why.
The London Evening Standard has transcribed the conversation which you can read here.
What does the future hold for Danny Rose?
Rose is out of contract at Tottenham at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, and it is hard to see him get a new deal.
Mourinho clearly does not rate him, which is why the Portuguese let him leave for Newcastle United on loan in the January transfer window.
It is very likely that the left-back will leave Spurs for good this summer.
