Mesut Ozil scored a hat-trick for Arsenal against Ludogorets Razgrad in the Champions League in midweek.

Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has written in The Mirror that Mesut Ozil epitomises what Arsenal have become.
Collymore believes that Arsenal are flat-track bullies, and has suggested that Germany international attacking midfielder Ozil does not perform in the big games.
The former Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa striker made the comments following the Gunners’ victory in the Champions League in midweek.
The Gunners got the better of Ludogorets Razgrad 6-0 at the Emirates Stadium in Group A on Wednesday evening, with Ozil scoring a hat-trick.

“For me, Ozil epitomises what Arsenal have become — flat-track bullies,” Collymore wrote in The Mirror. “They are capable of dispatching the likes of Ludogorets with ease. And Ozil will star in such matches.
“But when it comes to the crunch – really big games that decide titles or make sure the Gunners progress in the Champions League against the likes of Bayern Munich – he is found wanting.”

Collymore’s comments are a bit harsh, as Ozil is one of the best footballers in the world and proved at Real Madrid that he is a big-game player.
Arsenal, though, are also-rans in the Champions League and are never among the genuine contenders. Perhaps this season could be different, especially if the Gunners win the group.
Arsene Wenger’s side are going strong in the Premier League as well, and find themselves level on points with leaders Manchester City in second place.
The North London outfit will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Middlesbrough at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League.
