The former Liverpool star urged Jürgen Klopp to target three of Tottenham Hotspur’s key men this summer.

When writing his regular column for the Mirror, Stan Collymore urged Liverpool to go and spend big this summer, and named the three Tottenham stars who he would like to see Jürgen Klopp bring to Anfield.
The Reds enjoyed a successful campaign on the whole, finishing in fourth spot in the Premier League table, and reaching the final of the Champions League.

Klopp has turned Liverpool into one of the most exciting teams on the continent since taking over as manager of the club way back in October 2015, but he will undoubtedly need to strengthen further still, if he is to guide his side to a major trophy over the next few years.
Collymore, who scored 37 goals for the Reds during a two-year spell at Anfield, urged his former club to go out and spend big on three Spurs players this summer, when writing his regular column for the Mirror:

“FSG have to demonstrate their commitment too by using the £75m-plus generated by this run and back their man in the transfer market. I am NOT talking about signing the likes of Andy Robertson – as good as he has been. I AM talking about wandering into White Hart Lane, plonking £150m on the table in front of Daniel Levy and saying: ‘I’ll give you that for Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderweireld and Dele Alli.”
Whilst Collymore’s idea is a god one in theory, there is surely no way that Tottenham would contemplate selling three of their best players to Liverpool – a direct title rival, for just £150 million.
It could be argued that the Merseyside outfit would not even be able to sign the trio if they offered double the amount suggested by Collymore.
This summer will be a vitally important one for both Liverpool and Spurs, and as much as Klopp would like the three mentioned Tottenham players at Anfield, it is incredibly unlikely.
