Stan Collymore says Glasgow Rangers’ Steven Gerrard is more respected by Celtic fans than Brendan Rodgers.

Stan Collymore has told The Scottish Sun that Rangers boss Steven Gerrard now commands more respect at Celtic Park than Brendan Rodgers.
Rodgers sensationally quit Celtic to join Premier League side Leicester City last week.
The Hoops have won both games under Neil Lennon so far, while the Northern Irishman lost his opening match in charge of the Foxes on Sunday.
A lot of Celtic fans are upset with the 46-year-old for leaving before guiding the club to a historic Treble treble, with the Bhoys eight points clear of Rangers in the Premiership.
And Collymore feels it’s very likely that Rodgers will regret the mid-season departure, predicting that he won’t last long at The King Power Stadium.
He told The Scottish Sun: “The way Brendan Rodgers has treated Celtic has been poor and I’ve no idea why he didn’t just wait to join Leicester City at the end of the season.
“He’d have departed as a manager revered alongside all the club greats like Jock Stein and with few Hoops fans begrudging him a new challenge after winning the treble treble.
“As it stands, though, Steven Gerrard has more respect at Celtic Park than Rodgers. In the next two or three years, he’ll more than likely get sacked by Leicester – that’s just a football fact. And my fear is he will wish he’d dealt with the situation differently.”
Is the Rangers boss Gerrard more respected by Celtic fans? At the moment, possibly, but when the mist goes, and the hurt recedes, many of those on the green side of the Old Firm divide will appreciate Rodgers’s achievements.
