Aston Villa forward Wesley has scored just one goal since arriving in the summer.

Wesley of Aston Villa scores his teams first goal during the Premier League match between Aston Villa and Everton FC at Villa Park on August 23, 2019 in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Stan Collymore has claimed that he is becoming concerned about Aston Villa’s Wesley.

Wesley seemed to silence his doubters with his performance during Villa’s game against Everton before the international break.

However, the summer signing’s showing for Dean Smith’s side against West Ham United last night was not very impressive.

Wesley failed to pose much of a threat to West Ham’s defence, as Villa were held to a 0-0 draw in front of their own supporters.

And Collymore has suggested that Wesley looks unfit, and needs a striking coach to help him.

Wesley has just one goal to his name in a Villa shirt so far, but Smith has continued to back him.

Smith has suggested that he is convinced that Wesley can fire Villa to safety, but how much patience he will have with the powerful forward remains to be seen.

The claret and blues have now failed to score in their last two games, and have collected just four points from their first five games.
