Birmingham City are currently in seventh place in the Championship table, while Aston Villa occupy 13th spot.
Stan Collymore has been left baffled by Birmingham City’s decision to sack Gary Rowett earlier today.
Rowett was let go by Birmingham, with the board stating that the decision was a ‘strategic’ one.
And Collymore used Rowett’s sacking to put Aston Villa’s defeat against Norwich City last night into perspective.

Villa were poor against Norwich, as they fell to a 1-0 loss at Carrow Road, but Collymore insists that things are nowhere near as bad at Villa Park as they are at St. Andrews.
Rowett was widely recognised to be doing a credible job with Birmingham, and he had guided them to the edge of the play offs.
The Blues are currently in seventh place in the Championship table, and they won their last match against Ipswich Town.
However, Birmingham’s new board are believed to be wanting to take the club in a new direction.
Gianfranco Zola has since been appointed as manager.
