According to The Guardian, Arsenal are interested in securing the services of Luiz from Premier League rivals Chelsea on transfer deadline day.
It has been reported that the Blues are open to selling the Brazil international central defender to their London rivals.
The 32-year-old, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, signed a new two-year contract with Chelsea only in May of this year.
Chelsea are reportedly open to selling the former Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain central defender for £8 million.
According to WhoScored, Luiz made 36 appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea last season, scoring three goals and providing two assists in the process.
Former Liverpool striker Collymore has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to speculation regarding Luiz, and he does not believe that he would be a good signing for Unai Emery’s side.
