Stan Collymore has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Aston Villa’s win against Leicester City, while Gary Lineker has praised Ross Barkley for his goal on the social networking site.
Villa got the better of Leicester 1-0 away from home at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Barkley, on loan from Chelsea, scored in the first minute of injury time to help the Villans bag all three points from the match.
Former Leicester striker Lineker was following the match, and he was impressed with the goal from the English attacking midfielder, while ex-Villa striker Collymore has revelled in the win for Dean Smith’s side.
Going strong
Villa narrowly avoided the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of last season, but they are doing extremely well in the Premier League at the moment.
The Villans have won all four of the league matches and are just a point behind leaders Everton in second place in the table. The Toffees have played five games.
Smith’s team will return to action on Friday evening when they take on Leeds United at Villa Park in the Premier League.
