Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa all are aiming to win promotion from the Championship at the end of the season, and none of the Premier League hopefuls managed to pick up maximum points from their respective games on Saturday afternoon.

Villa’s indifferent form continued, as Dean Smith’s side played out a 2-2 draw with Hull City at Villa Park in the Championship.

Nottingham Forest had a new manager in charge for their game against Bristol City, but Martin O’Neill could not guide the Reds to a win – they lost 1-0 at the City Ground.

Leeds won 2-0 against Derby County at Elland Road last week, and with Stoke not having the best of times, Marcelo Bielsa’s side were expected to at least pick up a point away from home at the bet365 Stadium.

However, the West Yorkshire outfit suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of the Potters, but they do remain at the top of the Championship table.

Former Villa and Forest striker Stan Collymore has given his take on the results of the Villans, the Reds and Leeds on Twitter.
