Wolverhampton Wanderers are heading for the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo, the Wolves manager looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Millwall and Wolverhampton at The Den on December 26, 2017 in London, England.

Wolverhampton Wanderers won the Championship today and with it promotion to the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side clinched the title after smashing Bolton Wanderers 4-0 in Lancashire.

Next season will be Wolves’ first in the top flight since winning promotion under Mick McCarthy back in 2009.

Wanderers still have two games to spare in what has been a phenomenally consistent season under the Portuguese manager.

And Stan Collymore was among those who paid tribute to Nuno’s side on Twitter.

Wolves have won 30 and lost six of their 44 Championship games this season and they will be fancied to stay up next year – especially if they can keep Ruben Neves.

The Portuguese midfielder has been different class since his big-money move to Molineux last summer, so much so that Liverpool have been linked with a move in the upcoming transfer window.

But staying in the Premier League next season will be a lot easier if Wolves can keep him in the West Midlands.
