Stan Collymore has suggested that Leeds United’s impending appointment of Marcelo Bielsa could either be a disaster or a stroke of genius.

Bielsa’s maverick style of management has earned him many plaudits, with Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino among his list of admirers.

However, the Argentine boss has also struggled in other jobs, when things have not worked out as planned.

Leeds are sure to play an entertaining brand of football, but whether it will work in the Championship remains to be seen.

And Collymore has suggested that whatever happens with Bielsa in charge, it won’t be boring.

Leeds had been negotiating with Bielsa for weeks, following the sacking of Paul Heckingbottom, but the contract negotiations have been protracted.

However, they finally got a move over the line this morning, which has created great excitement around Elland Road.
