Stan Collymore has praised West Brom’s deal for Grzegorz Krychowiak.
Pundit Stan Collymore has taken to Twitter in order to react to West Bromwich Albion’s deal for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, hailing the move.
The Baggies enjoyed a strong summer transfer window, bringing Ahmed Hegazy, Kieran Gibbs, Gareth Barry, Oliver Burke and Jay Rodriguez the Hawthorns – but Krychowiak stands out as arguably their top signing.
On Wednesday, West Brom swooped to sign Polish international Krychowiak on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, though there is thought to be no permanent option in the deal that Tony Pulis can activate should the midfielder impress.
Krychowiak, 27, joined Sevilla from Reims in 2014, and he starred during his time with the Spanish club, making almost 100 appearances in all competitions whilst winning two Europa League titles under Unai Emery in Andalusia.
The powerful midfielder followed Emery to Paris Saint-Germain last summer, but struggled to make himself a first-team regular in the French capital, as he made just 19 appearances in all competitions.
Now, PSG have decided to let Krychowiak move on for first-team football with West Brom, and he looks to be ideal for the Premier League and for Pulis, possessing superb strength and defensive ability to protect the back four.
Krychowiak could make his debut against Brighton after the international break, and pundit Stan Collymore has taken to Twitter to praise the deal.
Collymore suggested that West Brom’s deal for Krychowiak is ‘top drawer’, even claiming that he may have the best pedigree of any player arriving at a Midlands club in recent years.
